I’ve been exploring lots of new ways to consume salad these last couple of months and my best friend Pinterest has been a HUGE inspiration and has opened up a “WHOLE” world of ideas and ingredients I never even considered.

This hand-tossed salad has sweet Red D’Anjou pears grilled in butter that will thicken your atmosphere with sweet notes reminiscent of homemade pear pie.
And the fresh, crisp spinach greens topped with sweet raisins and crunchy- nutty walnuts create a flavor combination that will leave your taste buds wanting more.
What makes this salad, oh, so legit good, is the mouthwatering Dijon mustard vinaigrette.

How To Make A Spinach and Pear Salad
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1½ tablespoons orange juice
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
- ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 4 red D'Anjou pears, cored and sliced in half
- 8 cups fresh spinach
- 1½ tablespoons chopped walnuts
- 1 tablespoon raisins
- Preheat griddle at 350 degrees.
- Coat griddle with 1 tablespoon of butter.
- Add sliced pears to griddle. Grill for 10-15 minutes until golden brown.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the water, orange juice, olive oil, honey, Dijon mustard, and black pepper.
- In a large bowl add the pear slices and 2 tablespoons of the vinaigrette and toss to coat.
- Add remaining dressing, spinach, walnuts, raisins and toss to coat. Serve immediately. Enjoy! 🙂
